Metal Soldier Squad 9

This game is a classic side-scrolling shooter featuring a variety of weapons, a challenging gameplay, and single-player modes only. The main objective is to eliminate the Red Falcon, an alien that, along with its minions, has taken over Earth. In this battle, you stand alone against the entire alien army. The game presents a significant challenge as a single hit results in an immediate game over, with players typically starting with only 5 lives.

The controls for the game are straightforward:

• A - Jump
• B - Shoot (Auto fire)
• Control Pad - Move left and right, crouch, aim weapon

(Note: To shoot downward, jump up with A, then hold down while pressing B. Down + A allows you to drop down a level if feasible.)

• Weapons/Items:

You initially start with a basic single-shot rifle, but have the opportunity to acquire more potent weapons to face the increasing challenges. The game provides upgrades through shooting flying capsules, upgrade boxes, or by eliminating specific brownish-red soldiers in bases.

Varieties Available:

• R - rapid fire: Enhances the firing speed of the standard rifle and spread gun.
• M - machine gun: Offers automatic firing capabilities by holding down the fire button.
• F - fireball: Fires bullets in a circular path while moving forward.
• L - laser: Strikes forcefully and is comparable to a rapidly firing standard rifle.
• S - spread: Allows bullets to travel diagonally alongside straight fire, providing broader coverage.
• B - barrier: Temporarily grants invincibility during combat.
• H - health: Grants an extra life.
• K - kill: Eliminates all enemies visible on the screen.
